Do you
sell Light fixtures to accent these posts?
We do
now offer a new product line of lanterns
and globe light fixtures
available for purchase with
our posts (our posts have a 3" standard mount.)
However, if a customer already has a light fixture they wish to use, as
long as the mount is 3" it will easily accommodate our posts. To browse

-
What
material are the posts made from?
Our posts are
handcrafted by the hands of skilled workers.
-
What
about durability and U.V. stability?
We
use fiberglass because it is a proven material
that will outlast less
expensive rotationally molded P.V.C. poly products. It is used to make boats,
snowmobiles and truck bodies. The gel-coated outside
surface has optimal UV protection.
-
Do
they look authentic?
Absolutely!
With our foundry background we did not want our product to have that
"plastic" look. We continually get compliments at home and
trade shows. People really think they are cast iron and are always
amazed when they see us lift them. Our victorian
posts give the look and charms of wood.
-
What
kind of finish is on them?
We use a high quality outdoor
enamel.
Gelcoat allows for easy maintenance and should
you wish to change the colour, simply brush on a new coat. Paint
adheres extremely well to fiberglass, with no rust to bleed through
and no splitting or checking as with wood, the finish will last for
years.
-
Are you
sure your ornamental post will fit over my pipe post?
Our posts are designed to slide over a 3" diameter pipe. If your post
sticks out of the ground anywhere between 3 ft. to 6 ft. our post will
work just fine, and your original light fixture will fit on top of our post.
Our larger posts will fit over a pipe up to 8".
-
What if I
don't have an existing pipe post?
For new installations our post may also be fastened through the base
flange to a cement pier, patio stone, or deck. (See installation
instructions) However, if you are thinking of ever adding a flower
garden around your post we recommend using the "slip over
pipe" method. This allows you to change your ground elevation and
simply slide our post further up the pipe ~ No new cement to pour.
-
Can I
attach planter or sign brackets?
Yes, brackets can be attached easily using wood screws. A hole should
be drilled large enough to accommodate the body of the screw.
-
Can I install aN
ELECTRIC EYE?
Yes,
simply drill a hole near the top of our post and insert the sensor.
Fiberglass drills easily.
-
What kind
of warranty do you offer?
To calm fears about buying over the internet, we offer an
unconditional 30 day money back guarantee. If you are not pleased with
the product for any reason simply return it for a full refund. (You
must pay return shipping costs.)
-
Where are the posts actually
manufactured?
Our production facilities are located in Frankville, Ontario,
Canada. We do everything "in house" including design, mold
making, production, and shipping.
